ASHFIELD ARTISTS

Welcome to the Ashfield Artists Room! Directed by Claire Finn, this area features artwork by local artists.

Feel free to leave a comment below to show your appreciation to the various artists!

Artist - Chris Goddard. I’m an Ashfield based self-taught artist who started painting during the 1st lockdown in 2020. I’m currently using acrylics and mostly paint portraits. My work is more expressive than realistic and I love the use of bold contrasting colours as skin tone. I’ve enjoyed working with these online galleries, and look forward to seeing my work first hand in a gallery! You can see my learning journey @chrismgoddard on Instagram.

Artist - Donna Hall.

Artist - Eleanor Marley. "These paintings are reflections of my travels around Ashfield and Nottinghamshire. I love to pay attention to the small details, such as flowers or old buildings that may otherwise pass me by unnoticed. These paintings are all small mixed media pieces consisting primarily of oil, cold wax and charcoal."

Artist - Karen Simms.

Artists - Academy Transformation Trust Further Education College. Learners have been working together creating collaborative PRIDE flags which represent being Unique and Diverse as well as creating Rainbow inspired artwork. Learners have also worked together to create an interactive piece of art called 'Ashfield & Me'.  Members of the community take a coloured thread and make their own path through Ashfield attaching it to the labels that are important to them and what they like most about the area.  Thus creating a unique and ever changing piece of art.
